All darkness will be gone and the light of God will shine in the hearts of men and women of faith. Joy will reign in the hearts of those chosen by God and there will be only one flock and one shepherd.
Every 25th of March, the Church commemorates the greatest event in human history; the Incarnation of the Son of God in the womb of a Jewish Virgin. Of the millions of people on the earth when that event took place, only the Hebrews – a tiny nation – had any reason to suspect what had happened in Nazareth.
All light in the heavens will be extinguished, and there will be great darkness over the whole earth. Then the sign of the cross will be seen in the sky, and from the openings where the hands and the feet of the Savior were nailed will come forth great lights which will light up the earth for a period of time. This will take place shortly before the last day.
Any student of Scripture will surely see a “Grand Design” in the scheme of things as they read the Old Testament and then see the fulﬁllment of prophecy with the birth and death of the Messiah in the New Testament. If you were on a desert island, and just had the Old Testament, you would know there was another book to read.
