Why Did the Revolution Start in Minnesota?

There is an expression about people who live in Minnesota – they are “Minnesota nice.”  Until recently, Minneapolis was still listed as one of the best places to live and raise a family in the United States.  Now it is ground zero for rioting and property destruction, including the burning of a police station.  The Minneapolis City Council has voted to abolish the police department.  Why did the revolution start in Minnesota?

The rioting in Minnesota is the result of a perfect storm of liberal progressive policies and cultural Marxism.  In fact, the rioting and creative destruction is the expected and desired outcome of years of communist ideological subversion, specifically through diversity politics and mass immigration.  Ultimately, the root cause is the result of the failure of multiple Roman Catholic Popes to consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary as requested by Our Lady at Fatima.

The (Deliberate) Transformation of Minnesota

Minnesota has a long history of Democratic party politics.  It was the only state that did not vote for Ronald Reagan in either of his two presidential campaigns.  The Minnesota Democratic Farmer-Labor party (“DFL”) was formed in 1944 and has its roots in socialism.  It has a history of on-again, off-again relationships with communists and modern socialists such as Bernie Sanders.  In the 2020 Democratic Presidential primary in Minnesota, Sanders received 29.89% of the vote – second only to Joe Biden.  Socialism is not a marginal movement in Minnesota.

Minneapolis was historically a city of predominately white Christian citizens.  The percentage of white citizens in Minneapolis remained at 99% from 1910 until 1950.  Non-whites started coming to the city in large numbers in the 1970s and 1980s.  In 1980, the percentage dropped below 90% to 87%.  By 1990, the city was more than 20 percent non-white.  By 2019, only 60% of the population of Minneapolis was white.

The early migration may have been tempted by Minnesota’s generous welfare programs.  That does not account, however, for the massive influx in recent decades.  That change has largely been the result of the immigrant resettlement programs, which have deliberately placed large refugee populations in Minnesota communities.  As recently in 2018, the census bureau reported that since 2010 populations of people of color had increased faster in Minnesota than the rest of the nation.

There is no natural reason for people from Sub-Saharan African to migrate to Minnesota.  Yet, the state has 52,333 people who report Somali ancestry — the largest concentration of Somalis in America — according to data from 2017.  This is not a stable group of people trying to assimilate into American life — more men and boys from the Somali American community in Minneapolis have joined – or attempted to join – a foreign terrorist organization over the last 12 years than any other jurisdiction in the country.

The mass influx of Somalians has also transformed the spiritual side of Minneapolis.  The first mosque was formed in the Twin Cities in 1967.  There remained one mosque until after 1990, which the growth of mosques rapidly accelerated to 44 in 2000, close to 120 in 2010, and 151 in 2017.  In 2018, the fastest growing religion in Minnesota was “none.”  At the same time, the percentage of evangelic Christians was rapidly declining with mainline denominations showing stagnant growth.  From 2000 to 2010, Catholic Church membership dropped sharply, down 8.7 percent, and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Minnesota’s second largest denomination, saw a 13.6 percent decline.

As a result, Minnesota is now the home to several of America’s first and prominent (and controversial) Muslim politicians.  The notorious Ilhan Omar is from Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District.  The Somali community and the rioting are in her district.  She succeeded Keith Ellison, the first Muslim in Congress.  Ellison is supported by George Soros funded organizations that threw money behind his successful campaign for Minnesota Attorney General.  Ellison and his son (on the Minneapolis City Council) openly support Antifa and the rioters.

How was Minnesota fundamentally transformed?  It is the result of ideological subversion by those who adhere to communist ideology.

Ideological Subversion

The goals articulated by the cultural Marxists in 1919 included the destruction of Western culture and the Christian religion.  It is therefore not surprising that the Catholic Church referred to communism as a “satanic scourge,” a “truly diabolical” instrument of the “sons of darkness” in the 1937 encyclical Divini Redemptoris.

In 1984, Yuri Bezmenov – a former KGB officer who defected to the United States – described communist world aggression as a “total war against humanity and human civilization” that would be conducted by the process of “ideological subversion.”

            Demoralization

The first phase of ideological subversion is “demoralization,” a process taking 15 to 20 years during which a nation is demoralized by educating one generation of students in communist ideology.  The process subverts the nation through:

  • Ideas – promoting false religions and cults; preaching moral relativity; removing religion and prayer from schools; creating personality cults in religion so that the preacher becomes the object of worship and not God; making religion entertaining and commercialized;
  • Structures – in the legal system, treating “underprivileged” criminals as “victims” of the “cruel American society”; in social life, emphasizing individual rights over obligations; insulting and disbanding police organizations; and
  • Day to day life – contributing to the breakup of the American family; encouraging socialized medicine; legislating “equality” of groups enforced by bureaucracies.

Does this process sound familiar?

The demoralization of America has been advanced for many years by the educational establishment by introducing theories of “political correctness,” “gender theory,” “critical theory,” “intersectionalism” and other empty philosophies.  The origins of this “cultural Marxism” was the “Frankfurt School” in the early 20th Century.  The role of the Frankfurt School was creating the victim groups that constitute the politically correct coalition.  What are the main tenets of cultural Marxism?  Political correctness, identity politics, multiculturalism, gender theory, mass immigration.  The use of terms such as “multiculturalism” have been used by promoters of cultural Marxism from the beginning because they concealed the Marxist nature of the ideology they were promoting, which would otherwise have been quickly rejected by most Americans.

            Destabilization

The second phase is “destabilization,” a process taking from 2 to 5 years, depending on the maturity of a nation and its ability to mobilize for resistance.  The process involves changing the focus of the nation from long-term solutions to short-term improvements and shifting of power to bureaucracy.  Obama’s mentor, communist Frank Marshall Davis, wanted to transform America through what he called “fundamental change.”  The “fundamental change” advanced during 8 years of the Obama administration significantly advanced the destabilization process in the United States, wildly expanding the administrative bureaucracy and “deep state.”

The Communist International’s “rules of revolution” also include dividing the people into hostile groups by constantly harping on controversial issues of no importance and destroying people’s faith in their national leaders by holding the latter up for contempt, ridicule and disgrace.  Does this strategy ring true, particularly since the election of Donald Trump as President?

            Crisis

The communists understood that chronic instability in society breeds radicalism as a means of solving problems.  The third phase is the “crisis,” which may only take 2 to 6 months, during which all radicals and sleeper agents spring into action, trying to seize power quickly and ruthlessly as possible.  The outcome is nationalization of vital industries, reduction of the ‘private sector’ of the economy to the bare minimum, the redistribution of wealth and a massive propaganda campaign by the new government to explain and justify the reforms.

            Normalization

The final phase of ideological subversion is “normalization.”  In other words, the vanquished country has been brought by force into the normal state of socialism; namely subjugation.

Ideological Subversion at Work in the United States

Having transformed a large segment of American society into practical communists by their belief system, having weakened the spine of America by bloating its government and bureaucracy, and having destabilized its institutions and economy (including by imposing mass unemployment and business closures for a seasonal flu virus), have we reached the third phase of ideological subversion?  The coronavirus panic has all the hallmarks of the necessary crisis and the lock-downs across America, including in Minnesota (one of the strictest lockdowns in the nation), appear to have set the stage for the mass rioting that broke out by creating mass unemployment, hardship and restlessness.  Then-Congressman Rahm Emanuel said years ago that “[y]ou never want a serious crisis to go to waste. And what I mean by that is an opportunity to do things that you think you could not do before.”  House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-SC) candidly stated at the outset of the COVID crisis — “This is a tremendous opportunity to restructure things to fit our vision.”  The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) have also been transparent that they would be using the coronavirus as the “crisis” to trigger their brand of change:  “Only a crisis — actual or perceived — produces real change,” the DSA wrote in an early May dispatch posted on the organization’s website — “We knew well before COVID-19 that capitalism was killing us.”  “Our job as socialists,” the DSA wrote, “[is] to build a new world on the ashes of the old.”

The organizations leading the rioting and the campaign for “change” are Antifa and Black Lives Matter.  Both fundamentally and openly espouse communist ideology.  Black Lives Matter was formed in 2013 by three self-styled “Marxist-Leninist revolutionaries.”  It became a recognized presence in America in 2014 and 2015 by declaring war on America’s law enforcement agencies.  BLM was embraced early on by the Obama administration, visited the White House numerous times and was endorsed by the Democratic National Committee.  In 2017, Black Lives Matter called for a boycott against “white capitalism,” asking supporters to not spend money at “white corporations.”  BLM’s website describes their beliefs as including, among other things, the intent to “disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure.”  Black Lives Matter at School (BLMS) (endorsed by the National Education Association), vows to inject BLM ideology into classrooms by teaching terms like “transgender affirming” and the disruption of Western nuclear family dynamics to children.  Communist ideology clearly has strong roots in these organizations.

More significantly, both organizations now call for the de-funding of police departments.  This was one of the stated objectives of the communists for the United States in the 1950s.  In 1963, Congressman Herlong read into the Congressional Record the list of “current communist goals” from the book “The Naked Communist” (1958).  Number 38 on the list is “transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies.”  A former KGB official pointed out in 1984 that insulting and eliminating police organizations was part of the demoralization process with respect to structures in society.  Giving into the demands of the rioters, the Minneapolis City Council has voted to disband the Minneapolis police department and to replace it with a “community-led” model.  Oddly enough, the Catholic Campaign for Human Development has been discovered to be donating funds to radical organizations agitating for defunding the police.

The Spiritual Root of the Problem

How did it come to this?  Communist Russia has now spread its errors throughout the world as predicted by Our Lady of Fatima in 1917.

Although the message of Fatima is familiar to many Catholics, what is not generally known is that Sister Lucy said in a 1946 interview that even the United States of America would be overcome by communism unless the Pope and all the bishops in the world consecrated Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on one special day.  Our Lady promised that if this was done, she would convert Russia and there would be peace.  If this was not done, the errors of Russia would spread through every country in the world.

At Rianjo, Spain in August 1931, Our Lord communicated to Sister Lucy His dissatisfaction with the Pope’s and the Catholic bishops’ failure to obey His command to consecrate Russia.  He said:

Make it known to My ministers, given that they follow the example of the King of France in delaying the execution of My requests, they will follow him into misfortune. It is never too late to have recourse to Jesus and Mary.

In another text Sister Lucy wrote that Our Lord complained to her:

They did not wish to heed My request! Like the King of France they will repent of it, and they will do it, but it will be late. Russia will have already spread its errors in the world, provoking wars and persecutions against the Church. The Holy Father will have much to suffer.

The French Revolution – which started 100 years to the day after Jesus requested the consecration of France to His Sacred Heart — was the result of the King of France’s failure.

Minnesota was merely a petri dish where the virus of cultural Marxism was fed to generations of students, church-goers and citizens for decades.  It was almost inevitable that the revolution would start there.  The ideological subversion of the United States is likewise well-advanced.  We are now watching the new Jacobins tearing down statues of Columbus and trying to erase American history.  Major corporations, celebrities and politicians all rush to swear fealty to BLM and Antifa, and donations pour in to support radical organizations.  The Church stands silent.  What can we do to get rid of this spiritual virus?

The solution is prayer.  We must pray for the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary over communism.  Regardless of whether the Holy Father consecrated Russia to the Immaculate Heart correctly or not (no Pope ever consecrated Russia by name to the Immaculate Heart), the current situation is the manifestation of the prophecy of Fatima – that Russia would spread its errors across the world.

Pray the Rosary daily for the end of atheistic communism!
