Many people walking the streets who are in a thinking mode with a spiritual inclination are sensing we may be on the cusp of major prophetic events. The ‘signs of the times’ seem to point to it. A wise person will never predict a precise date for an event, but a wiser one will watch the signs like the Magi who traveled great distances to follow the star to the manger in Bethlehem. The story of creation was written in the stars, and the Magi had the courage and faith to act on their beliefs.
There are two extremes in the prophetic genre: one is to believe in nothing and the other is to believe in anything. Neither of these are a laudatory position to take. Discernment is necessary and time weeds out the fraudsters. What these future events may be is unknown, but some people believe that Scripture is unfolding. At this juncture in history, there is a confluence of many events to ignore the fact we may be on the cusp of major changes.
One thing of particular note is a celestial event occurring now reinforced with data from NASA and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The soon to be celestial event is mystical and a knowledge of Scripture makes it more interesting. On September 23, 2017 a canvas of planetary bodies and celestial phenomena join forces for a rare event indeed.
The Catholic interpretation of the Woman Clothed with the Sun is very clear that this is the Blessed Mother. In 1531, the Blessed Mother came to Juan Diego in Mexico and this apparition ended the Mexican human genocide. Our Lady came under the title of “Our Lady of Guadalupe.” She appeared in regalia that directly appealed to the native Indians, with her image from Rev. 12:1 on the tilma of flimsy cactus. That tilma has endured without fading or being destroyed for nearly 500 years. That is a miracle unto itself.
On May 13, 1967, Pope Paul VI issued the encyclical Signum Magnum (Latin for Great Sign) referring to the Blessed Mother’s role in Rev. 12:1 asserting that “Honor is Mary’s throughout the ages, and, Mary’s spiritual motherhood transcends boundaries of time and space. It is part of the church’s history at all times, because she never ceases to exercise her maternal office or to help us.”
The Science
Now what should we expect from the heavens on September 23, 2017?
Each year for the earth’s annual orbit the sun travels the entirety of the ecliptic passing each of the twelve constellations of the zodiac. Each month the moon travels the entire of the ecliptic passing through all constellations of the zodiac. Due to this, there is a day or two each year when the moon is just to the east of Virgo and the sun is in Virgo. Once or twice in September each year there is a confluence of this celestial event.
Revelation 12
“And a great sign appeared in the heaven: A woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars: And being with child she cried travailing in birth, and was in pain to be delivered.” Rev. 12:1-2.
The sun will be in the zodiac constellation Virgo or — “A woman clothed with the sun.” There is always a day or two each year when the sun is in Virgo and each September, so nothing is unusual here.
The moon will be at the feet of Virgo –“With the moon under her feet.” The moon is also in its annual path every year of one month, so nothing terribly unusual here either.
There will be nine stars from the constellation Leo and the three planets, Venus, Mars, and Mercury on the head of Virgo –-“And on her head a crown of twelve stars.”
This is a rare phenomenon due to extreme brightness and why nine stars at this point? This is rare compared to times past because of the discernable appearance of the crown of twelve stars.
On November 20, 2016 Jupiter entered the center of constellation Virgo. Jupiter (the largest planet sometimes called the King Planet) will be directly in the center of Virgo as if in the womb, and after nine and a half months Jupiter exists out of the womb of Virgo on September 23, 2017. Jupiter will exit to the east and pass her feet – “And being with child she cried travailing in birth, and was in pain to be delivered.”
For the first time in 38 years (since February 21, 1979) on August 21, 2017 the vigil of the Queenship of Mary, there will be a total solar eclipse of the sun that will be coast to coast in the United States. August 22 is the feast of The Queenship of Mary instituted by Pope Pius XII on October 11, 1954.
In light of the fact that the Lord often communicates His intentions throughout the Scriptures by sending signs through the heavens, the days and the years, the stars, and the seasons (Genesis 1:14), this is something to ponder. When Sister Lucia of Fatima saw the aurora of the bright lights that were throughout Europe and other parts of the world in January 1938, that was her sign that World War II was on the horizon. She knew exactly what the aurora meant. Hitler annexed Austria shortly thereafter, and in 1939 Germany invaded Poland.
