31st International Week of Prayer and Fasting

Nine Days of Prayer & Fasting for Our Nation, Our Leaders, Our Families, and The Church: October 20th-28th, 2023

All are invited to participate in the 31st Annual International Week of Prayer and Fasting (IWOPF), which runs from Friday, October 20, 2023, to Saturday, October 28, 2023. The theme for this year’s IWOPF Conference is “Miracles of the Eucharist.” 

The week begins with a 3-Day Virtual Conference on Friday, October 20th, Saturday, October 21st, and Monday, October 23rd, and culminates on Saturday, October 28, 2023, with a Live Day of Prayer at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC, which will be livestreamed.

IWOPF co-founders and hosts, Maureen and Ted Flynn, will begin the week by presenting pre-recorded talks online by such notable speakers as Fr. Chris Alar, Fr. Robert Altier, Fr. David Gunter MIC, Dr. Peter Howard, Nikki Kingsley, Mark Houck, Karen Japzon, and Fr. Ron Stone. These are available on the IWOPF website, www.IWOPF.org.

The week culminates on Saturday, October 28th, with a live day of prayer featuring speakers Fr. Timothy E. Byerley, Ray Grijalba, Dr. Carlos Parellada, Sister Deirdre Byrne, and Ted Flynn. There will be a Mass at noon celebrated by Bishop Emeritus Robert J. Baker, STD. It also includes a procession of the nations, all-day Eucharistic Adoration, the opportunity for veneration of a relic of Blessed Carlo Acutis, a global living Rosary recited by people representing Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas wearing traditional dress from their countries of origin, recitation of the Divine Mercy Chaplet, and the opportunity for confession.

This entire event will be available FREE via livestream on the day of the events.
