33 Tremendous Promises from Our Lord
This article in our Spring 2026 magazine includes two past Sacred Heart apparitions encouraging devotion to the Sacred Heart and also several Immaculate Heart apparitions revealing God’s desire to establish and spread the devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. To tie up the Two Hearts we include also the messages given to Sr. Maria Natalia in the 1940’s. The apparitions to Sr. Natalia unite the devotions to the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary and offer 33 tremendous promises to those who place devotion to the Two Hearts side by side and complete the “Double Great Novena.”
1900’s
What was communicated through pictorial representations became a verbal request by 1920. Before Jacinta of Fatima died in 1920, she revealed a message from God through Our Lady. One of the messages concerned the alliance of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary: “Tell everyone to ask graces from her (Immaculate Heart of Mary) and that the Heart of Jesus wishes to be venerated together with the Immaculate Heart of Mary.”
1940’s
Sr. Maria Natalia is a Hungarian nun who was born in 1901. During her lifetime she has lived through two world wars and the resulting turmoil and sufferings. After World War II, she endured communist persecution and the dispersion of her religious order. To avoid the communist authorities, Sr. Maria Natalia was forced to live in hiding in order to survive. Sr. Natalia was chosen by Jesus in the 1930’s to receive messages in the form of locutions and visions. Through Sr. Natalia, Jesus revealed His desire to establish devotion to His Immaculate Mother as the “Victorious Queen of the World” as well as to start a world-wide reparation movement to help usher in the triumph of the Immaculate Heart that was promised at Fatima. Among the many messages given to Sr. Natalia concerning the Church, priests and religious, and the coming reign of peace, Sr. Natalia was given a “Double Great Novena” to honor the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. This vision explicitly tied together devotion to both Hearts and revealed the power therein. We quote from Sr. Natalia’s spiritual diary:
On August 15, 1942, the Lord Jesus gave me a great grace. During a vision He gave great promises for those who complete a novena to the honor of His Sacred Heart together with the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
As I prayed, I saw Jesus stopped by me. He took my hand and led me before His Immaculate Mother, then said: “My child, look at your Mother as the Queen of the World. Love her, and surround her with the trust of a child. I want this from you and from everyone.”Then He lifted a little the mantle of His Virgin Mother and showed me Her Immaculate Heart, then turning toward the world, He said: “Behold the Immaculate Heart in which I placed My graces for the world and for souls. This Heart is the fountain of My graces from which the life and sanctification of the world is originating. As the Heavenly Father gave everything to Me, in the same way I give my victorious power over the world and sin to the Immaculate Heart of My Mother. Through my daughter (St. Margaret Mary Alacoque of the devotion to the Sacred Heart), I gave the world big promises, but since My goodness is infinite, now I offer even more.”
Jesus requests that this prayer be said on first Saturdays along with nine consecutive First Fridays and nine (not five) consecutive First Saturday Devotions.
“Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, I offer You this Holy Communion through the Immaculate Heart of Mary to console You for all the sins committed against You.”

“I trust in Thee, O Heavenly Father, and offer Thee the United Hearts of Jesus and Mary, the Triumphant Bleeding Wounds of Jesus and the Tears of our Loving Heavenly Mother Mary. Lord, Thy Will be done.
Heavenly Father, I trust in Thee. I offer Thee the United Hearts of Jesus and Mary, the Triumphant Bleeding Wounds of Jesus, and the Tears of our Loving Heavenly Mother Mary. Lord, Thy Will be done. Amen. Jesus, Mary, I love Thee, saves souls.

33 Promises of Jesus for those who complete the Double Great Novena
- All that they ask of Me through the Heart of My Mother — provided the request is compatible with the will of the Father — I will grant during the novena.
- They will experience in every circumstance the extraordinary help of My Mother, together with her blessings.
- Peace, harmony, and love will reign in their souls and in the souls or the members of their families.
- I will protect their families from scandals, disappointments, and injustice.
- Married couples will stay together, and if one has already left, he or she will return.
- The members of their families will understand each other and persevere: in faith.
- Expectant mothers will experience My Mother’s special protection and will receive what they ask for themselves as well as for their children.
- The poor will receive room and board.
- I will lead them to love prayer and suffering. They will learn to love God and their fellow man.
- Sinners will be converted without special difficulty, even if someone else completes this novena for them.
- Sinners will not fall back into their previous state. Not only will they receive forgiveness for their sins, but through perfect contrition and love, they will regain baptismal innocence.
- Those who complete this novena in their baptismal innocence (especially children) will not offend My Heart with serious sin through the time of their death.
- Sinners who sincerely repent will escape not only hell but even purgatory.
- Lukewarm believers will become fervent believers, and they will persevere and reach perfection and saintliness in a short time.
- If parents or other members of a family complete this novena, nobody from that family will be condemned to hell.
- Many young people will receive the calling to religious life, including priesthood.
- Unbelievers will become believers, and those who wander without direction (fallen away Catholics) will return to the Church.
- Priests and religious will remain faithful to their vocation. The unfaithful will receive the grace of sincere contrition and the possibility of return.
- Parents and leaders will receive help in both spiritual and material needs.
- The body will be freed from temptations of the world and of Satan.
- The proud and the arrogant will become humble; the hot-tempered will become loving.
- Fervent souls will experience the sweetness of prayer and sacrifices; they will never be tormented by uneasiness or doubt.
- Dying persons will depart without agony and without the attacks of Satan. They will escape sudden, unexpected death.
- The dying will experience tremendous longing for eternal life; thus, they will surrender to My will and will depart from life in the arms of My Mother.
- They will experience the extraordinary protection of My Mother at the Last Judgment.
- They will receive the grace to have compassion and love toward My suffering and that of My Mother.
- Those who strive to be perfect will obtain as a privilege the main virtues of My Mother: humility, love and purity.
- They will be accompanied with certain external and interior joy and peace, throughout their lives, be they sick or healthy.
- Priests will receive the grace to live in the presence of My Mother without any hardship.
- Those who progress with Me in unity will receive the grace of experiencing this unity. They will know what it means: It does not mean that they will live longer, but that I will live within them. That is to say: I will love with their hearts, I will pray with their souls, I will speak with their tongues, I will serve with all their beings. They will experience that which is good, beautiful, holy, humble, simple, obedient, precious, and admirable within them; It is Me, the Almighty, the Infinite, the only Lord, the only Love.
- The souls of those who complete this novena will be radiant like white lilies around the Heart of My Mother in eternity.
- I, the Divine Lamb of God, united with My Father and the Holy Spirit, will rejoice forever seeing these souls who, through the Immaculate Heart of My Mother, will gain the glory of eternity.
- Priestly souls will always advance in faith and virtue.
