Saint Gianna

Saint Gianna

Born in 1922, St. Gianna Beretta Molla was an Italian pediatrician, wife and mother who refused to abort her unborn child, despite knowing that the complicated pregnancy could result in Gianna’s death. She died seven days after her baby was safely delivered. Gianna was canonized a saint in 2004 and is the patron saint of the pro-life cause.
